My current side project (Codenamed Project Winston) is a first person limited survival strategy game. The concept at the moment is to combine some traditional survival game elements such as looting, eating, drinking, managing health or injuries, and crafting with dystopian sci-fi story elements.
The game takes place in a closed-room type of environment, in that the player is confined to his second-floor apartment inside of a larger house and must solve puzzles and uncover clues to determine the combination of a safe in his bedroom. The player is “volunteered” as part of a government project that is designed to be a televised spectacle in which an unknown group of intruders attempts to access the player’s apartment and gain access to the safe before the player can. In order to survive and win the game, the player must stay alive, prevent the intruders from regularly gaining access to his apartment, and ultimately unlock the safe and discover the secret within.
Like Project UEC, the game has no scheduled release date.
